Choosing & Using Your Stove

  • All National Chimney Supplies stoves are Ecodesign compliant, ensuring high efficiency and low emissions.
  • If in a Smoke Control Area, choose a Defra-exempt model. All clearSkies Level 3 and above models are certified as Defra exempt.
  • Get professional installation by a HETAS or OFTEC registered expert.
  • Use Ready to Burn dry wood for maximum efficiency and to ensure your logs are at or below 20% moisture content.
  • Have your chimney swept annually by a qualified sweep.
